FDCP’s IAnimate Animation Film Festival kicks off April 24
On April 11, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) teased its line-up of animated films by releasing a trailer for their much-anticipated ‘IAnimate: Animation Film Festival.’
The film festival centered on animated films was first announced last January 28 (presented as ‘Inanimate’), along with presenting projects and programs for the first quarter of 2025. It was first projected to be released in March, but as the month passed and with the release of the trailer video, it is now confirmed to be set from April 24 to May 7, 2025.
FDCP CEO and Chairman Joey Reyes shared in the January programs and project presentation that with this animated film festival “ We [at FDCP] wants to make audiences see that Filipino animators are really good (gusto namin iparamdam sa audience [na] ang gagaling na Filipino animators).”

FDCP Cinematheque Centres nationwide are set to screen the festival, except Cinematheque Center Manila, which is yet to be relocated as of February 3, 2025.
