Did you miss the Cinemalaya film screenings? Catch them at Cinema 76 before the month ends!
Cinema 76 will have both full length and short film offerings from Aug. 24 to 30.
Competition films from the recently concluded 18th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival will be shown in Cinema '76 Anonas beginning August 24, Wednesday, and running through August 30, Tuesday. This will provide an opportunity for indie enthusiasts and moviegoers who were unable to attend Cinemalaya screenings at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and other partner cinemas, which capped off its ceremonies last August 16.
The 11 feature films include Carlo Obispo’s The Baseball Player, which was named Best Film;
Blue Room by Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagnalan;
12 Weeks by Anna Isabelle Matutina;
Ginhawa by Christian Paolo Lat;
Bakit ‘Di Mo Sabihin? by Real Florido;
Bula Sa Langit by Sheenly Gener;
Angkas by Rain Yamson;
Batsoy by Ronald Espinosa Batallones;
Kaluskos by Roman Perez Jr.;
Kargo by TM Malones;
and Retirada by Cynthia Cruz Perez and Milo Alto Paz.

“Cinema ’76 Film Society is honored to be a cinema partner in this year’s Cinemalaya Festival. It’s been two years since the festival had in-person screenings and as Cinemalaya fans ourselves, we’re excited to welcome indie fans, looking to catch some of the best films of the year,” said Daphne O. Chiu, Executive Vice President and General Manager of TBA Studios and Cinema ’76.
Ticket price for each full feature costs P250.
