A24’s The Legend of Ochi: CreaZion Studios Brings You & an Unlikely New Friend to an Amazing Cinematic Journey Starting April 25
At the premiere night of A24’s The Legend of Ochi, parents and fur parents came together to embark on a new adventure to see Ochi! This new family adventure film marks the feature directorial debut of writer-director Isaiah Saxon, and is produced by Jonathan Wang (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Richard Peete (Blue Ruin), and Traci Carlson (Killer Sally). The film stars Helena Zengel (News of the World, Transamazonia), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Emily Watson (Dune: Prophecy), and Willem Dafoe (Nosferatu, American Psycho).
The film highlights the connection between humans and animals—and how they can bond and communicate without words. It’s this theme that inspired Saxon to create a new world. At CreaZion Studios, they champion stories that hold a mirror to society and aim to inspire cultural change, especially in how we care for animals who don’t have a voice.
“With A24’s timely release of a family film, we hope that viewers will become more mindful of nature and its creatures. We hope to instill the importance of being better stewards of the Earth,” shared CEO RJ Agustin.
On Easter Sunday, CreaZion Studios, in partnership with SM Super Pets Club and Hello Dolly, hosted a furry fun day with pet owners and their pets. Dr. Czarina Arbis, senior veterinarian at Golden Fur, led a discussion on pawsitive parenting and animal rights advocacy.
“We document what’s happening, and we report it to the proper authorities like our barangays and Local Government Units (LGUs), because they are the ones who have the power. It’s understandable that some may post about abuse on social media, but we hope that people also do their due diligence by reporting it through the proper legal channels too,” said Dr. Arbis.
So join us and step into the world of The Legend of Ochi! Watch it with your whole family or your fellow fur parents this April 25 in major cinemas nationwide!
