Everything About My Wife, directed by Real Florido and written by Rona Co, is a powerhouse collaboration between CreaZion Studios, and GMA Pictures. With such a strong lineup of producers,  one might wonder: what is it about this story that brought these studios together? This beloved rom-com has been adapted in  different  languages and countries worldwide such as Italy, Mexico, India, Chile, Vietnam, South Korea, and Spain.

The film has enjoyed commercial & critical successes in most of its previous versions, notably its 2008 Argentine origin (Un novio para mi mujer), a box office hit, and its 2012 South Korean adaptation (All About My Wife), which became one of the highest-grossing Korean films of the year. What makes this story relatable is its universal theme of healing and love’s ability to repair relationships—a narrative that resonates across cultures. While each adaptation stays true to the heart of the story, what sets them apart is how the protagonists resolve their conflicts.

"The magic of Everything About My Wife is the universality of its theme and how love and commitment is discussed in all of its iterations. And that story resonates so much in a lot of countries in the world as much as it is in our own. When we talk about commitment and marriage, we know we are touching deeply on an aspect of our identity as people who put so much importance on these subject matters as part of our culture," shared Director Real Florido.

Just as CreaZion Studios’ CEO, RJ San Agustin, backed quality stories like Isang Himala, co-produced with Unitel Straight Shooters, the production company remains committed to finding stories that Filipinos need to see and deserve. “It has always been our mission to find stories that enrich the audiences’ worldview and inspire our viewers.”

As of this writing, many moviegoers have shared praises about the writing, film treatment, and Director Florido’s leadership in making this film.

Posted on Facebook, netizen Louis Flororita said, “NAKAKABALIW siya dahil sa mga eksenang luluha/lumuluha ka na ay biglang patatawanin ka—and as in several times!!!”

Another user, Mireille, commented on X.com, “The movie is so entertaining—nakangiti ka, then bigla kang pakikiligin, tapos maiinis, tapos iiyak. The movie is a rollercoaster of emotions. Maganda ang storyline, hindi ka mawawalan.”

In a Reddit forum, a user named medium_food278 shared how new Filipino movies are becoming more grounded in reality:

“Napansin ko after watching the recent Filipino movies this year na they tackle modern issues while at the same time may grasp talaga ng reality and practicality na nangyayari sa buhay. Our Filipino movies are really improving in a lot of ways, which the younger audiences would especially benefit from.”

So, what are you waiting for? Are you ready to answer this question: ‘Pag ang better naging worse, can love heal everything? ’Everything About My Wife – now showing in cinemas nationwide! Also showing at Manila International Film Festival on March 6, 2025 only, at TCL Chinese Center.
