Glimpse into the regions with the 22nd Mindanao Film Festival
The country's longest-running regional and independent film festival, Mindanao Film Festival, rolls out a fresh set of films for its 22nd year of weaving together the rich and diverse stories of the region.
Originally launched in 2003 as the Guerrilla Filmmaking Festival, the festival is organized by the Mindanao Film & Television Development Foundation Inc., which has dedicated itself for two decades to amplifying the cinematic voices and talent of Mindanaoan filmmakers.
Some entries from the roster were also featured in the recently concluded 9th Ngilngig Asian Fantastic Film Festival last October 26 to 30, 2024, including ‘Ang Pamilya Maguol’ by Jermaine Tulbo and ‘Samtang Naghulat Ko Nga Maakoa Ka’ by Linus Masandag.
